Life is Hard

about

Here is a song for the times we live in. Rather than let this whole situation get to me, I'm putting it to music.

lyrics

Something always happens when you’re making other plans
Life just feels so broken as it’s torn out from your hands
Shredding all your hopes and then they’re shattering your dreams
Pulling out the threads of your existence at the seams

Life is hard
No matter what you do
You’re chasing all your dreams, only to find your nightmares coming after you

You put your goals in motion, and your plans are put in place
You hit the ground a running as you start up in the race
The poetry of justice as you’re waking up to find
That you think you’re two steps forward but you’re eight more steps behind

Life is hard...

You try to make excuses, but it all comes out the same
That no matter how you look at things, you’re still the one to blame
The hand that you’ve been dealt with when the dealer made the call
Is the hand you’ve got to play with if you’re gonna play at all
Life is hard...

You start to feel the rhythm, and you’re getting in the groove
Things are really shaking when you’re putting on the moves
Life feels like your favourite song when all things go your way
But when the music’s over, the musicians get their pay
