It has been a long time since I wrote a love song, but when one has loved and lost and then given a second chance at love again, one doesn't want to miss their moment to express themselves to the person they love. Admittedly, this is the type of love song I wish I was writing 40 years ago, but I guess it took 40 years to get to this point.
